iPad from Apple

Question: How good is the iPad?
Answer: Nothing amazing. For something as "revolutionary" as a color touch screen portable notebook, it's easy to jump to conclusions. However, in reality, it's a touch screen notebook. Nothing more, nothing less.
First, let us get into the geeky terms. Here's what the iPad looks like compared to the iPhone and MacBook
So what exactly do all those figures mean? Simple - it's better than the iPhone, but not as good as the MacBook. I'm fortunate enough to know a friend within the Apple buisness and he has told me a bit about the product months ago. Like the iPhone, it is smooth and easy to use. But it just doesn't match up to computer with a 2GHz processor. It is the HP mini of Apple. When it comes down to performance, it just doesn't cut it. But that's not what the main purpose behind it. The iPad is actually relatively cheap for a "computer".
So should you get an iPad? I say no. What can it possibly do that we haven't seen yet? Given it's physical capabilities, there won't be many new features. It can't quite replace a portable device such as an iPod or iPhone unless your pockets can hold a 9 inch screen. It isn't recommended to use it as your everyday computer due to its onscreen keyboard and limited capabilities. I would wait to see how they improve this in the future. You can expect versions with more memory and definitely one with a camera soon. My friend has already informed me of an iPad with 120GB. So with this in mind, I see the iPad getting bigger and better in the future. The processor will probably be bumped up to what a MacBook can do. Soon, it will be able to replace the household computer. But for now, I would pass.
That's all for today's segment for "Anything or Everything?". If you have a suggestion for a future blog, please leave it in the comments below. And what do you think? Will you get an iPad?
